It was just a matter of time. Since Google a couple of years ago announced their “HTTPS Everywhere” goal, we have all known it was coming.

The release of Chrome 68 in July 2018, all sites that are not using an SSL-certificate for encrypting the traffic between the visitor and the web server (i.e. using the “old” HTTP instead of HTTPS), will be marked “not secure” by Chrome.
